Custom Services, Design Fees & Partner Merch Policy

Crafty Casey’s offers custom apparel, DTF transfers, embroidery, branded merch, fundraiser merch, hosted business merch, and design-related services.

Because custom work requires time, setup, artwork review, mockups, communication, and production planning, certain services may have additional fees.

Design & Artwork Services

Customer-provided artwork should be print-ready before production. If artwork needs editing, cleanup, resizing, background removal, layout work, or design changes, additional fees may apply.

Examples of billable design or artwork services may include:

• Background removal
• Trimming artwork to size
• Cleaning ghost pixels or unwanted marks
• Resizing artwork
• Rebuilding low-quality artwork
• Creating new graphics
• Creating ad graphics
• Creating product mockups
• Setting up gang sheets
• Creating business or fundraiser merch designs
• Preparing files for DTF, embroidery, or print production

Design fees must be paid before design work begins unless otherwise agreed.

Artwork Ownership & Design Rights

Customer-provided artwork remains the customer’s responsibility. By submitting artwork to Crafty Casey’s, the customer confirms they own the artwork or have permission to use it.

Any artwork, design concepts, mockups, layouts, edits, rebuilt files, graphics, ad images, product listing images, or custom designs created by Crafty Casey’s remain the property of Crafty Casey’s unless otherwise agreed to in writing and paid for in full.

Design fees cover the time, labor, setup, and creative work required to prepare a design or project. They do not automatically include ownership of editable source files, layered files, design templates, or exclusive rights unless specifically stated on the invoice or agreement.

Unpaid proofs, mockups, concepts, or draft designs may not be copied, printed, reproduced, posted, shared, or used with another printer or business.

If a customer wants released artwork files, editable files, source files, exclusive rights, or full ownership transfer, this must be requested and paid for before files are released.

Mockups & Proofs

Mockups and proofs may be provided for certain custom orders.

Customers are responsible for reviewing all details before approval, including spelling, names, dates, colors, placement, sizing, garment style, quantity, and design details.

Once a proof is approved, Crafty Casey’s is not responsible for errors that were visible in the approved proof.

Additional revisions may require additional fees.

Suggested Fee Structure

Final pricing may vary depending on the complexity of the project.

Hosted Business Merch

Crafty Casey’s may offer hosted merch options for businesses, organizations, fundraisers, nonprofits, and special projects.

Hosted merch may include product setup, mockups, online listing creation, order collection, production, pickup/shipping options, and payout tracking.

Hosted merch is accepted at Crafty Casey’s discretion and may require a signed agreement before setup begins.

Businesses, 501C3, Fundraiser & Percentage-Back Merch Commision

For approved fundraiser, nonprofit, or partner merch, Crafty Casey’s may offer a percentage back based on the terms agreed to in writing.

Unless otherwise stated in a signed agreement, percentage-back amounts are calculated from net proceeds, not gross sales.

Net proceeds may exclude:

• Product costs
• Blank apparel or item costs
• Printing or embroidery costs
• Design/setup fees
• Shopify or payment processing fees
• Shipping charges
• Taxes
• Discounts
• Refunds
• Chargebacks
• Returned or canceled orders

Payout timing, percentage, eligible products, and reporting will be agreed to before the fundraiser or hosted merch collection goes live.

Right to Refuse Projects

Crafty Casey’s reserves the right to refuse, cancel, or remove any project, design, product, or hosted merch collection at our discretion.

We may refuse work that includes trademarked, copyrighted, licensed, stolen, offensive, hateful, inappropriate, or unauthorized artwork.

By submitting artwork or requesting hosted merch, the customer or organization confirms they have the legal right to use the submitted artwork, names, logos, slogans, and brand assets.

Payment

Design fees, setup fees, digitizing fees, product costs, and invoices must be paid before work begins or before production starts unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Production turnaround does not begin until payment is received, artwork is print-ready, required details are complete, and any proof or invoice has been approved.
